Fiske, Agent / Broker

|
Before beginning in the
insurance industry, I was the manager of a family owned and operated
Purina feed store in Burlington, VT for a year and a half.
I accepted the position as the Franklin/Grand Isle County
Farm Family Agent in Feb. of 1989 and moved to St. Albans, VT.
The business began in an upstairs room of our home, with just
myself working full time, and my wife helping out with clerical duties
two afternoons a week. From
there we moved into an office building in Milton, VT followed by an
office in St. Albans. In
September of 1995 we moved to our current location on Mill River Rd in
Georgia, VT, and began seeking out other insurance companies to
represent, broadening our product portfolio.
I started with a very small book of business and limited product
lines to offer, and built a profitable, multi-line agency, with 3 agents
and 2 CSRs currently on staff. I
have been an award winning producer for 8 of the 17 years I have been a
Farm Family agent, and qualified for membership in the
Million Dollar Round Table in 1993, which is the top honor an
insurance agent can receive. I
grew up on a small farm in So. Ryegate, VT and I believe my farming
background prepared me for owning a business, and gave me the knowledge
and expertise to understand the needs of agriculture related business.
I love sales and enjoy the fact that I have the opportunity to
get to know and work with so many interesting and hard working people on
a day to day basis

Karen Fiske
Agent / Customer Service Representative
When
Dan accepted the position of Franklin and Grand Isle counties Farm
Family insurance agent in 1989, he worked out of an office in our home,
and I helped him with a limited amount of office work while being a stay
at home mom for our 3 children. I
started working in the business “officially” as a Customer Service
Representative in 1997. I
took my “Property and Casualty” licensing exam in 1998 and have been
working as an Agent/Customer Service Representative since then.
I am a good problem solver and enjoy that aspect of my job very
much. I like dealing with
people and strive to provide a very high level of service to everyone
that I deal with.

Kellie
A. King
Customer Service Representative
Kellie is a native
Vermonter who enjoys working with the public in a financial capacity.
She started her career working at Howard Center for Human
Services in 1989 auditing client records for accurate Medicaid
documentation. In April of 2000 she saw an advertisement for a customer
service representative at a local insurance agency.
After applying, she realized that working in a small, service
oriented atmosphere would be very rewarding because of the consistent
client contact. Since May
of 2000, Kellie’s knowledge of the insurance industry has grown a
great deal and she hopes to obtain her Property and Casualty insurance
license in the near future. Kellie’s
role at the Fiske Agency is to provide support to all customers who need
to make any type of change to their insurance policies, and she also maintains the office computer network by keeping all of
the software updates current and functioning.
